Commission to Vote on Improving California's Transportation Infrastructure
The California Transportation Commission will vote on how to improve the state’s transportation on Thursday. The Commission will be looking on how they will be allocating funds from Proposition 1b. The voter approved bond for the '07-'08 fiscal year is near $4 billion. Money will go towards items like light synchronization, air quality improvement, road improvements and increasing security at ports and harbors to protect against terrorist. Voting will begin Thursday around 2 in the afternoon.
