Cold Spring Canyon Suicide Barrier Meeting Tonight
They call it the suicide bridge… Since the bridge was built in 1963, 43 people have committed suicide by jumping from the Cold Spring Canyon Bridge. So now CalTrans is asking the public to discuss the Cold Spring Canyon Suicide Barrier Project with them tonight. CalTrans has proposed to build a physical barrier on the Highway 154 bridge in hopes to deter suicide. Tonight’s meeting will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building on Mission Drive in Solvang at 5:30.
