Caregiver Arrested for Taking Advantage of His Clients

A Paso Robles man is behind bars for using developmentally challenged adults to get his hands on prescription painkillers. Two FedEx employees noticed that meds were being shipped to Larry Allen Ulam, who works as a caregiver, at different addresses through the county. When police were notified, the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit conducted a three month long investigation and determined that the 57 year old man had convinced his disabled clients to make up medical problems to get the prescriptions. The five adults would then sell him the painkillers. Ulam has been arrested and booked into County Jail for abuse, possession of a controlled substance and attempted witness intimidation. |
