Capps Kicks Off 2008 Election Campaign

The first and only vice presidential debate is over and both Washington state Democrats and Republicans feel confident about their respective vice presidential nominees. Congresswoman Lois Capps has commended Senator Joe Biden for his performance during last night’s debate. She said that after last night it was clear why Obama chose Biden as his running mate. She continued to say that “Biden demonstrated his in-depth knowledge of the most complex issues plaguing our country and the steps we must take to put our country in a new direction.” Although many citizens who watched the debate believe neither Joe Biden nor Sarah Palin had any major screw ups, most disagree on who won the debate.
With just about a month left before the big election, Congresswoman Lois Capps is getting ready to kick of the 2008 Election Campaign. On Sunday, local Obama volunteers and local Democratic candidates will be in the San Luis Obispo County Courthouse Plaza to hear Capps speak about the importance of this election. It all starts at one o’clock Sunday afternoon. |
