Posted: Monday, 09 June 2008 9:02AM Cal Poly Student Arrested for Burglary A young man tried to rob a home while the people who lived there were still inside. 22 year old Cal Poly student. James Sirganey-Scantlen entered a home on the 100 block of Orange Street just before 2am Saturday. Sirganey-Scantlen was caught by one of the residents stealing a laptop computer and other items from a bedroom. The Cal Poly student tried to leave the home, but the residents held him there until SLOPD arrived. He was arrested for burglary and taken to the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
