Posted: Monday, 25 August 2008 10:43AM Cal Poly Named Best In The West Once again, Cal Poly has been nationally recognized to be one of the best public-master’s universities in the West. This is the 16th straight year that the university has been named Best in the West. This year, U.S. News and World Report listed Cal Poly as 10th among public and private universities. The College of Engineering was named number one in the nation when it came to undergraduate programs, along with the industrial and manufacturing program. U.S. News and World Report’s edition of “2009 America’s Best Colleges” guidebook hits news stands today.
