A year long search for a new head of the Journalism Department at Cal Poly has come to an end. The search committee unanimously selected Bill Loving as the Journalism Chairman. Loving has bachelors in broadcast journalism from the University of Texas in El Paso and a law degree from Southern Methodist University. He has taught at five different universities with his main interests of media law, writing and reporting. George Ramos has been the department head for the past five years and will continue teaching classes this Fall. Loving will take over July 1st.
