President Warren Baker has publicly denounced the idea. Experts say that lowering the drinking age will only make it harder to have programs that educate young adults on drinking responsibly. Others say that the drinking age is already ignored, and if it wasn’t prohibited by law, those under 21 would not try to hide the illegal activity and drink in safer situations.
