The Lompoc City Fire Department worked with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department to battle a quick moving vegetation fire. The fire was just east of the Highway One and Santa Rosa Road intersection just outside of the Lompoc city limits. Fire crews were able to contain the fire just before five o’clock yesterday evening. More than 15 acres were charred, but no buildings were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
