Firefighters were able to gain control of a fire in North County before it got too out of hand. It was just after 4:30pm when CalFire got word of a brush fire off Nacimiento Lake Road. According to The Tribune, CalFire had crews and equipment close by, so they were able to knock down the blaze quickly. CHP has the road closed until about 7 o’clock last night. CalFire estimates that 50 acres were charred by the blaze.
