Big Rig Shuts Down Some Lanes of Highway 101
|
A runaway big rig on the Cuesta Grade during rush hour traffic shuts down several lanes of Highway 101. The big rig, which was carrying lettuce at the time of the accident, was traveling too fast and caused the truck to flip over on its side. It didn’t just stop there though… the truck slide down the hill more than 1,400 feet before it came to a stop on the center divider. The driver, 57 year old Ray Aruaz of Oxnard, did suffer from minor injuries. The truck ended up blocking two southbound and one northbound lane, but crews were able to clean up the crash and have all of the lanes reopened by 11:30 last night. |
