Just in time for summer, the southbound off ramp at Avila Beach Road is expected to re-open soon. The off ramp from Highway 101 has been closed so construction crews could add a guardrail and add a new lane on Highway 101 from Avila Beach Road to Shell Beach Road. Drivers should be able to use the exit again starting in 3 or 4 weeks. Overnight lane closures in both directions of Highway 101 fro Spyglass Drive to the San Luis Obispo Creek Bridge can be expected during the weekdays from 8pm to 6am. The northbound off-ramp at Avila Beach Road will have periodic closures, weekdays from 9am to 4pm. The project is about 40% complete and expected to be completed by 2009.
