Atascadero Sheild Initiative Left Up to Voters
|
The Atascadero City Council debated a controversial topic after Tuesday night’s meeting. According to The Tribune, more than 300 people showed up to the meeting to voice their opinions on the Atascadero Shield Initiative. After hours of public comment, the council decided that they had three options:
1) They could put the initiative into effect, without changing the city ordinance
2) Let the voters decide
3) Request a report about how it would affect the city
After more than two years of controversy, the Atascadero City Council made the decision to put it on the November ballot and leave it up to the voters. |
