Posted: Monday, 09 June 2008 9:10AM Another Fire Destroyed Rec Center Remains Another fire has caused thousands of dollars in damage to the Nipomo Rec Center. Just after 4:30 yesterday afternoon, CalFire responded to several reports of a fire on the 100 block of South Frontage Road. Just a half hour later, fire fighters had it contained. CalFire is looking into what caused the fire, however they are calling it suspicious. The fire caused at least $10,000 in damage. Just about one month ago a fire was set at the Rec Center, causing a million dollars in damage. Three arrests have been made in that case. Investigators do not know if the two fires are related.
