Morro Bay -- Shotgun shells exploded in a fire in Morro Bay last night. Fire crews arrived at the property on Ironwood Drive at about 9 o’clock. They found the garage and adjacent carport engulfed. Firefighters kept the blaze from spreading to the house. Shotgun shells and other ammunition in the garage created several small explosions. The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.
According to the Tribune, one resident suffered minor smoke inhalation, and a firefighter got a minor burn during the blaze. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
