Posted: Friday, 17 October 2008 8:48AM Adopt A Big Dog in a Small Package Workers at local animal shelters are hoping that a new movie will inspire many people to adopt Chihuhuas. Beverly Hills Chihuahua is a Disney movie that has inspired the Santa Barbara County Animal Services to call the next seven days, “Adopt-a-Chihuahua” Week. Shelters throughout Santa Barbara County house over one hundred Chihuahuas. Many of the animal stars in the movie are actually rescued shelter pets. Adopt a Chihuahua Week starts tomorrow and continues through next Saturday.
