A Different Kind of Checkpoint in Pismo Beach

Normally when we talk about checkpoints, law enforcement agencies target drunk drivers (especially around the holidays). Today though, the CHP along with State Park Rangers and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting a different kind of checkpoint. Officers will be looking for stolen vehicles, checking driver’s licenses and vehicle registration. The checkpoint will be set up today from 10am until 2pm on the beach at Sand Highway south of the Pismo Pier Avenue Beach Ramp. |
