San Luis Obispo City Fire Department crews received an unusual call yesterday afternoon. At around 2:45, firefighters received a call about a recycling trash truck was driving through the Cal Poly campus on fire. The truck was chased down by Cal Poly Police. The driver dumped the load of flaming recyclables onto North Perimeter Road. Firefighters raked through the pile, dousing it with water as they went. The fire was out in about 10 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
